Our receptionists have been instructed by the doctors to ask you for a brief reason why you need an appointment. Please do not be offended when they ask, hey are just doing their job.  

calendar Types of Appointments

  1. Pre-bookable appointments - these any routine problem
  2. Same day appointments - these are for all urgent problems that cannot wait until a routine appointment is available. 
  3. Telephone consultations - these are an alternative to visiting the surgery and examples of when they could be used are to discuss:- results; changes of medication; minor illnesses etc.
  4. On-line triage - please visit our home page to request on-going sick notes or if you have a simple question to ask your doctor. 
  5. Evening and Weekend appointments - You are able to book evening and weekend appointments at one of our Primary Care Manchester Hubs. Primary Care Manchester is a federation of GPs of which this Practice belongs. Evening and weekend appointments can be made with a Doctor, Nurse or Healthcare Assistant. You may be offered one of these appointments when all the appointments at this Practice are taken. You can however request one of these appointments if they are more convenient for you.   

Extended Hours

We offer early morning telephone calls starting at 7.30am and late night evening appointments with a GP and Nurse. Our evening appointments are on Wednesday evening from 6.30pm until 8pm. .     

We hope that these will benefit our patients who find it difficult to visit us during the course of the normal working day. 

Please make our receptionists know when booking an appointment if you would like one of our extended hour slots. 

How to Book

You can make an appointment in the following ways

  2. Over the telephone by calling 0161 223 5226
  3. On-line via this website (a pin is required, please ask at reception for details)

All of our patients have a named GP. Please ask at reception if you didn't know who yours is. It is sometimes best to try and book appointments with your named GP, especially if you have ongoing issues. You can however see anyone of one our doctors or nurses if you so wish.

As a courtesy we send text massage reminders about your appointment. It is your responsibility to remember your appointment. Please do not rely solely on the text messaging system.   

Canceling an appointment

It is very important you let us know as soon as possible if you cannot attend your appointment. Getting an appointment to see your doctor can be difficult and this is made worse by people not keeping their appointments.

You can cancel your appointment in the following ways

  2. In person at the Reception Desk
