First Contact Physiotherapist (FCP), Sharon Chan-Braddock

The FCP can help you to recover from neck, back and limb injuries. They can also help if you have a physical disability or have had a stroke. Sharon can give expert advice on how best to manage your condition and refer you on to specialist services if necessary. Sharon visits our surgery every Monday and holds 30 minute appointments. For more information please contact reception and a video can be sent to you to explain the FCP role further.

Health and Wellbeing/Yoga Therapy, Sam

Feeling anxious? Low mood? PTSD? Chronic Pain? Grief? Stress? Low self esteem? Trouble Sleeping? Sam offers a great service of Adult therapeutic yoga and children’s yoga therapy (from aged 5). No yoga experience is required and everybody is welcome. Sam offers one to one 45 minute appointments, please speak to reception if you are interested.

Paramedic, Oliver

You may be booked in with our Paramedic if your medical problem is acute/urgent for on the day. Oliver works alongside our GPs to help manage our appointments and home visits. Oliver can prescribe medication to help treat your medical condition.

Focused Care Practitioner, Wendy

Our focused care practitioner offers a great service to support our patients. Patients can be referred by their GP, practice staff and local community workers. Once the referral has been accepted Wendy will then conduct a detailed assessment and can begin to work with the patients/household. The focus care motto is to make the invisible patients visible! Wendy is great for supporting complex situations and is there to support patients who want to engage with the community. Please ask your GP for more information.

Community Midwife

District Nurses

The district nursing team is based at Gorton Hub. Their duties include providing general nursing care, visiting many people at home. Each patients needs are assessed and their care/treatment is planned accordingly. They are available for dressings, suture removals etc. Please telephone 0161 529 6210 for further details.

Health Visitor

The health visitor no longer holds a clinic at the centre. If you need to see a health visitor details of the local clinics can be obtain from reception or alternatively ring 0161 225 9274 and ask for the health visiting team.

Mental Health/Counselling Service

Counselling is an opportunity to be really listened to in a safe and confidential relationship. You will be given time to discuss how you feel about what has happened and is happening in your life. This can help you make sense of difficult thoughts and feelings. It can also help you to explore ways of bringing about change in your life. Chiropodist

A chiropody service is available at a number of local clinics. You can self-refer or, alternatively appointments can be arranged through your doctor. Please enquire at reception for further details.
